A small amount of coronavirus vaccine may arrive in Hungary in December, but mass vaccination of the population may begin in 2021, the head of the National Public Health Center's (NNK) epidemiology department Ágnes Galgóczi said at an online press conference this week, according to Világgazdaság.
In order to vaccinate the population against the coronavirus, Hungary has purchased a total of 17.5 million vaccines from several manufacturers, she said.
The vaccine authorization process is constantly being monitored, and it currently appears that Pfizer's vaccine may be licensed by the European Medicines Agency as soon as possible, so it will be the first available for mass vaccination.
