New foreign investment projects worth €368.5 mln in Poland

The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency has revealed that since the beginning of 2013, it has managed to nail down 11 new investments worth a total of €368.5 million ($483.3 million), Radio Poland reported. The Polish Press Agency (PAP) also reported that these 11 projects will bring in over 4,000 new jobs to the Polish economy. The biggest project is the Polish-Belgian €120 million Korczowa Logistics Park, located two kilometers away from the Ukraine border, in southeast Poland. The 70 hectares (173 acres) park will be responsible for generating at least 1,000 new jobs, it said. As reported, another important project in the lower Silesia region will be a new factory of Rhodia, from the group Solvay that will make Silicon dioxide known as silica. The plan will be to invest €75 million in the specialized process.
