A self-testing kit for COVID-19 has been approved by the Czech State Institute for Drug Control and will soon be available on the market, state news agency ČTK reported citing the institute's director Irena Storová.
The anti-body test, based on a drop of blood, similar to sugar-level tests for diabetics, is not suitable for testing in the early stages of infection.
However, people will be able to see if they have already undergone COVID and have antibodies. Storová said she expects more tests suitable for home testing will appear on the market in the coming weeks and months, according to a report by Czech Radio.
