At top, dead trees being replaced in Budapest’s Széll Kálmán tér, still probably better known by its former name of Moszkva tér, a major hub for the capital’s public transport on the Buda side. The building in the background is the Postal Palace (Postapalota). For many years, this was the main Post Office of the capital, but it has been a ghost building waiting for a new owner until recently, when a central bank foundation purchased it and announced the renovation of the building. The square was first known as Széll Kálmán tér from 1921-51. In that year, from which the black and white photo above dates, it was renamed Moszkva tér, which it kept until 2011.
