Museum of Applied Arts upgrade cleared for 2017-2021
Hungaryʼs government has cleared a plan for the reconstruction of the north wing of Budapestʼs Museum of Applied Arts and the expansion of the institutionʼs south wing between 2017 and 2021, a resolution published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny shows, according to state news wire MTI.
The resolution replaces an earlier one dated July 2016, earmarking HUF 25 billion for the museumʼs renovation between 2016 and 2019.
The government will review the original HUF 25 bln allocation in the light of a detailed plan, including reviewed expenses to be submitted by the Minister of National Development by January 31, 2018.
A maximum of HUF 6.8 bln has been earmarked for the project this year.
