Hungary ranks 3rd on Speedtest Global Index for mobile internet

Analysis

The Speedtest Global Index, a ranking of mobile and fixed broadband speeds from around the world on a monthly basis, put Hungary in third place for mobile internet coverage in July and 12th place for fixed broadband coverage, state news wire MTI reports.

The SGI compares internet speed data from around the world, ranking mobile and fixed broadband speeds on a monthly basis.

Data for the index comes from tests taken by people using Speedtest every month, according to MTI.

Norway and the Netherlands placed first and second for mobile internet coverage, while Singapore and South Korea were first and second for fixed broadband coverage.

The rankings show that Hungary slipped one place downwards on both lists.

Results are updated at the beginning of the month for the previous month. To be ranked in each category, countries must have at least 670 unique user results for mobile and at least 3,333 for fixed broadband, according to the SGI website.
