Assets in investment funds managed by members of the Association of Hungarian Investment Fund and Asset Management Companies (BAMOSz) fell 2.4% to HUF 3.183 billion in January from the previous month, BAMOSz said on Wednesday.

BAMOSz attributed the decline primarily to net withdrawals, which amounted to HUF 127 billion.

Assets in money market funds fell 4.9% to HUF 1,236 billion, as the result of withdrawals of HUF 66.7 billion.

Assets in bond funds edged down 0.5% to HUF 307 billion due to withdrawals of HUF 14.9 billion.

Investors took out HUF 10 billion from shares funds, still, assets in these funds rose 4.9% to HUF 265 billion because of yields.

Assets in property funds fell 4.7% to HUF 377 billion on withdrawals of HUF 18 billion.
