Wizz Air adds Malta to Budapest flights

Transport

Central and Eastern Europe’s largest low-cost carrier, Wizz Air, has added a twice-weekly Budapest-Malta flight to its offering from the Hungarian capital. This latest route – beginning on 17 May – brings the number of airports served by Wizz Air from Budapest to 35, and the number of countries it operates into to 30. Seats are on sale at the Wizz Air website, with one-way fares starting at €27. “We are delighted to enhance our route network with both the substantially increased Alitalia frequency to Rome and the new Wizz Air route to Malta,” Budapest Airport aviation director Kam Jandu said. “We are anticipating that the residents from both locations will want to take advantage of Budapest’s great city break reputation owing to its culture, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.”

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
