Hungarian and Macedonian officials signed a declaration of intent on cooperation in air traffic control, and cooperation agreements on health care and consumer protection yesterday, when the Hungarian-Macedonian joint economic committee met for the third time in Budapest.

Key areas of cooperation between the two countries include farming, the energy sector, retail trade and the construction industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade state secretary Levente Magyar said after the committee meeting.

Aneta Dimovska, state secretary at the Macedonian economy ministry, said Hungary is a strategic partner for Macedonia, adding that bilateral trade is growing steadily.
