Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH) opened an office in Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.

MNKH was set up by the state in order to find new markets for Hungarian companies in Asia and in the former Soviet Empire, as part of the government’s “Opening to the East” strategy. The MNKH partners with local trading houses to find new opportunities for Hungarian companies on foreign markets.

MNKH’s expansion involved opening units in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (on September 19) and Armenia (on September 26) this year.

MNKH has trading houses in China, Russia, Singapore, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Vietnam, Brazil, Macedonia and Ghana. It plans to raise the number to 25 by year-end.
