Opposition party launches anti-corruption foundation

Initiatives

Igazmondó Alapítvány, translated as Truth-tellerʼs Foundation, has been registered to legally begin operations in the fight against corruption, Péter Juhász, member of Hungarian opposition party Együtt (Together), reported on his Facebook page today.

Juhász says he started the initiative a couple of months ago and asked László Majtényi, to establish the foundation. Since its establishment, Juhász claims to have attended forums around the country and reportedly found that in the majority cases corruption was present.

The foundation aims to “uncover and diminish local corruption, to encourage local councils to become transparent and to help create alternative publicity,” Juhász wrote on his Facebook page.
