Shops in excess of 400 sqm had an 86% share of all sales, similar to 2013. The share of shops larger than 2,500 sqm, however, fell 2 percentage, points while the share of supermarkets with a retail space between 400-2,500 sqm and the share of drug stores rose 1-1%, Nielsen added. Retail sales of household chemicals and cosmetics increased in 2014 in every region, with the northwestern counties registering an over-average 9% growth.
