WestLog DC warehouse-distribution center has started year 2011 by signing an 11,500 square meter lease agreement with Foxconn CNSBG, the solution provider of network communication products.
CNSBG is one of the nine business units of Foxconn Technology Group specialized in design, manufacture and logistics of various network communication products, mobile phones and communication terminals.
Foxconn operates a production facility in Komárom and in order to further increase CNSBG’s manufacturing capacity the raw material warehousing (as non-core production activity) has been recently outsourced to WestLog DC.
WestLog DC at Biatorbágy is a modern logistics facility situated along the M1 motorway and close to the junction of the M0 and M7 motorways. The fully serviced property is still one of the largest high-bay warehouses in the CEE region offering flexible and secure space for storage, office administration, value added services and other business activities in the field of logistics.
Although the Hungarian industrial market was suffering from the economic downturn the WestLog DC is currently over 55% occupied (35,500 sqm let space) and is home for existing tenants such as: Dachser, DSV, TDG, Retz, Boy, etc.,
Foxconn is just being moved into WestLog and will lease close to 11,500 sqm logistics space by early April.
“We pride ourselves on being able to conclude deal with Foxconn in this difficult economic climate. We are striving to offer greater flexibility and additional services to our tenants, so WestLog is an ideal place for a global manufacturer with growing businesses and tough expansion plans. Tenant requirements are getting to be more complex and in 2011 we are seeking for further challenges and new lettings,” said György Szucsány, general manager of WestLog DC
“Foxconn is the most trusted name in contract manufacturing services and CNSBG has also become Taiwan’s (China) largest network products company. Our aim is to meet, but rather exceed customer expectations and offer innovative solutions. I am convinced that partnership with WestLog DC can help us to increase CEE footprint,” said Pao-Fu Yang, the global operations manager of Foxconn CNSBG in Hungary.
