Regional waste management centre inaugurated in Győr

The waste management centre completed as part of a HUF 9.5 billion regional development project was inaugurated in Győr on Monday.

The regional waste management project, financed with HUF 6.5 billion in EU funding, will improve quality of life for 260,000 people in 112 communities, minister of the Prime Minister's Office Csaba Molnár said at the inauguration ceremony.

He said around 60-65% of the household waste will be recycled in the area and only about one-third will be deposited at the regional landfill, which meets all environmental standards. (MTI-ECONEWS)
