Parliamentary to discuss aiding construction sector

Parliament's economic committee voted unanimously to approve a motion to initiate the convocation of another economic summit to discuss the current crisis in Hungary's construction industry.

The committee established a working group to determine the issues to be placed on the agenda of the proposed summit in light of the 2009 government budget adopted on Monday evening.

Committee representatives from both the majority Hungarian Socialist Party and the main opposition party Fidesz presented proposals aimed at alleviating the effects of the construction-industry crisis at the committee's meeting on Wednesday. (MTI – Econews)
