Two new leasing contracts were signed in Airport City logistics park: JAS Cargoways moved its central office in to building C, while Ceval Logistics occupied building D as the first lessee. The second stage of the park’s development is generating a good turnout, having advanced discussions with several potential lessees.
The recently closed transactions prove that Airport City offers solutions even in hard economic times for the international logistics and retail companies. Both contracts were signed in cooperation with DTZ real estate consultants on the leaser side.
JAS Cargoways is a leading international haulage company having 150 offices worldwide and transferring its Hungarian headquarters from the Ferihegy airport to the park.
Ceva Logistics Hungary Kft was established in 2007, merging TNT Logistics and EGL Eagle Global Logistics. CEVA is a Hungarian representation of an international logistics enterprise, one of 1,200 of the parent company. As the first lessee of 900 square meters of storage and 400 square meters of office space in building D, it complemented its 12.8 million square meters of storage worldwide.
Airport City, a development of ABLON, can be found near the conjunction of Üllői út and the road leading to the airport, just 5 minutes from Ferihegy and the new section of M0 highway. The first stage of the park, building C, having 8,300 square meters of leasable storage space and 2,000 square meters of offices were handed over in early 2008 and has 70% of occupancy by now. The second phase, building D, still offers 8,000 square meters to lease.
The park is expected to be very popular among domestic and international logistics and retail companies, due to its excellent berth, flexibility and on-site customs services. (BBJ Online)
