INNONET to build car industry tech center

INNONET Innovation and Technology Centre, in the Győr Industrial Park, is expanding with a HUF 500 million automotive industry technology centre called TECHNONET, INNONET Nonprofit managing director László Budavári told MTI.

INNONET has won a HUF 400 million grant for the first phase of the project to build 5,200 square meters of office and workshop space, doubling the centre's infrastructure, Budavári said. TECHNONET, expected to be inaugurated by the end of the year, will fill gaps in the technology competencies of automotive industry companies in Győr, offering an engineering laboratory that can quickly turn out prototypes. German car maker Audi has a big engine and car assembly plant in Győr. The city is also home to many of its suppliers. TECHNONET's base will be heated with geothermal energy. (MTI-ECONEWS)
