Eli Alroy, Chairman of Globe Trade Centre S.A. and Robert Snow, CEO of GTC Hungary Real Estate Development Zrt on Tuesday officially opened the Center Point 2 office building, the second phase of GTC’s flagship Center Point development.GTC has just completed the €50 million investment in Center Point, one of the largest and most prominent Class A office buildings in Budapest, on Váci út in District 13, with over 41,000 square meters of net rentable area. Designed by award winning architects Zoboki Demeter Associates, the building has already been successfully leased to major international clients, the foremost tenant being ExxonMobil with a 16,500 square meter rented area. The tenant profile includes a list of the world’s top names such as: Nalco, Raiffeisen Bank and Leasing, Honeywell, Bunge, Lombard Leasing, Allianz Bank and Kudos.
In addition, Snow announced the launch of GTC’s new office project located in District 13 in Dózsa György út on the site of the old “Spiral” building. The new Spiral will be a multi phase office project with over 62,000 square meters of offices, making it one of the largest office buildings in the capital.
The first phase of the Spiral complex, planned to be completed in early 2008, will offer a wide range of facilities including top class offices, underground garages, restaurants and cafés’, retail shops, post office, conference facilities and a fitness center.
GTC Hungary has appointed two of the leading international agents, Jones Lang LaSalle and Colliers International, to lease the property.
