The DVM group, as the first in Hungary has received the certification that is necessary to help clients with their existing and future developments (offices, retail, industrial, or cultural institutions) in the application and certification process of their properties for the BREEAM environmental certification.
BREEAM (BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the leading and most widely used environmental assessment method for buildings. It sets the standard for best practice in sustainable design and has become the de facto measure used to describe a building's environmental performance. Why is BREEAM important for real estate developers? BREEAM provides market recognition for low environmental impact buildings including design, construction and sustainability, assurance that best environmental practice is incorporated into a building, inspiration to find innovative solutions that minimise the environmental impact. It also gives a benchmark that is higher than regulations. For the tenants it is a tool to help reduce running costs, improve working and living environments.
