The Eurovegas casino project in Bezenye, west Hungary, has enterwd into development phase after the investors obtained all the permits required for the investment, daily Napi Gazdaság reported, citing MTI-ECO.
The casino, which its owners say will be the largest gaming complex in Europe, is slated to open by 2013, MTI-ECO quoted Austria's Der Standard as saying.
The project's total value is €5 billion, of which €265 million will be invested in the first phase.
Austria has raised concerns over the project's location, which is close to a conservation area next to the Hungarian-Austrian-Slovakian border.
