The number of construction company liquidations in Hungary rose 15% in the first quarter over the same period a year earlier, increasing less than expected, though more big companies were among the number, Opten, which compiles information about companies, told MTI.
Opten said 815 construction industry companies went under liquidation in Q1. Of these, 478 were wound up, 40% more than in Q1 2008.
Opten said the number of companies struck from the company registry was 1,719 in Q1, falling from more than 2,400 in the same period a year earlier. The number of companies removed from the company registry dropped for the first time in a long time. (MTI – Econews)
