The Hungarian government’s HUF 1,800-billion support package for the construction industry has to date resulted in the signing of 300 contracts for an aggregate value of HUF 1,200 billion, the National Development and Economy Ministry said.
In the case of 160 agreements, the implementation is already under way, immediately securing HUF 800 billion worth of orders for the sector, the ministry said. The government has also drafted a range of amendments to laws and decrees aimed at enhancing the operation of the industry.
If accepted by Parliament, the changes may take effect in October, the ministry added. (Napi Gazdaság)
