Ablon, a property developer owned by Immoconsult, the real estate project financing company of Austria's Volksbank, opened a €28 million Buy-Way shopping center in Dunakeszi, on the outskirts of Budapest, on Saturday.
Already, 65% of shops at the 20,000 square meter shopping center have been rented out to retailers such as C&A, Líra Bookstore, Pannon Furniture and Deichmann. Ablon expects the center to attract 1.5 million visitors a month.
The shopping center is Ablon's second in Hungary. Ablon opened its first Buy-Way in Budapest in 2005. The company also owns six office buildings in the capital with combined floor space of 43,000 square meters.
