Four Hungarian trade union associations on Wednesday said they will hold a demonstration in front of Parliament on September 12, the first day of the autumn session, to protest government measures that negatively affect workers.
Trade associations ASZSZ, ESZT, MSZOSZ and SZEF said Parliament had taken decisions over the past year that put Hungarian workers and their families at a serious disadvantage. They cited the introduction of the country's "unjust and disproportionate" personal income tax system as an example.
The associations will also protest the planned new labor code they say aims to make existence "impossible" for unions.
