Switzerland will provide 8.5 million Swiss franks (€5.2 million) to Hungary's 2007-2011 education and cultural programs, the Culture Ministry announced on Friday.
An agreement on the funding process was signed in Budapest by Culture Minister István Hiller and Swiss State Secretary for Education and Culture Charles Kleiber, the ministry said in the statement. A major portion of the funding will be dedicated to scholarships for post-graduate studies at Swiss universities for 130 Hungarian students.
The four-year funding program also includes support for Collegium Budapest for research work in various sciences, the German-language Andrássy University in Budapest, and the promotion of Hungarian culture. (Mti, Bloomberg)
