National lottery Szerencsejáték Zrt and Hungarian Post Zrt will be left in state ownership as new state property management law is expected to be approved by the parliament next week.
The original list of assets proposed for privatization was shortened by both socialist MP's and those of the opposition. All property maintained in state ownership will be managed by the consolidated National Property Management Zrt. This new bureau will be managed by the National Property Council, formed of members recommended by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the PM. Additional companies removed from the list of assets up for privatization are water power plant Tiszavíz Zrt, government IT provider Kopint-Datorg Kft, and Herend Porcelain works. (Napi Gazdaság)
