Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai met visiting Armenian President Serge Sargsyan for talks in Budapest.
Parties at the talks praised the traditionally good bilateral relations and the role of Hungary's Armenian minority in strengthening those ties, the Hungarian government spokesman's office told MTI in a statement.
Bajnai and Sargsyan agreed that although foreign trade between the two countries is dynamic, there are further opportunities for investment and cooperation in the economy, culture, education and science, the statement said.
