Parliament to vote on constitutional amendments

Representatives will begin the parliamentary debate of further changes to the constitution. The proposed changes tabled by the government parties include adding requirements for students receiving state-funded college tuition to stay in the country after they complete their studies. The proposals also include provisions that would further curtail the jurisdiction of the Constitutional Court disallowing the panel from taking into consideration past rulings, while local government’s right to take action against the homeless will also be made part of the basic document even though such campaigns have been deemed unconstitutional in the past.
