Parliament approves statement against violence

Parliament approved a statement calling for citizens to express their opinion without resorting to violence by an almost unanimous vote on Tuesday.

The document was approved by a vote of 295:2 with two abstentions.
The five parliamentary parties agreed on the text of the statement earlier in the day. The statement, initiated by the government, was drawn up after a peaceful anti-government demonstration started Monday evening turned during the night.
