Orbán lauds support from EPP

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán informed reported in Strasbourg Tuesday that he held a fruitful and pleasant discussion with representatives of the European People's Party, of which his Fidesz side is also a member. He stressed that he explained the numerous misconceptions circulating about Hungary’s modified constitution and stated that the document includes no changes that are unprecedented in Europe. He added that the attacks coming against Hungary are political and motivated by the fact that the Fidesz government has increased the tax burdens of several industries, where ownership is largely foreign.
