Ombudsman against visit fee regulation

Data privacy ombudsman Attila Péterfalvi is criticizing the way the visit fee may be reimbursed.

In his recommendation submitted to the Constitutional Court, Péterfalvi finds it unconstitutional that it is the notary who is responsible for the reimbursement applications, because according to the healthcare regulations, all health-related information should remain within the boundaries of the healthcare system. He argues that the receipt which is necessary to get the refund contains health-related information, thus it may allow for drawing conclusions related to a person's health condition. (Magyar Hírlap)
