MSzP members might prefer Gyurcsány’s ideas

Approximately 8,600 members of opposition party MSzP took a stand on questions raised by former party leader and Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány through the party’s internal voting, nol.hu, the online version of daily Népszabadság reported.

Besides other questions, Gyurcsány asked the MSzP members if they would prefer a direct party leader election system. Although there is no official result published yet, nol.hu said, citing MSzP sources, that those who agree with Gyurcsány’s ideas are likely to overcome those who insist to the current party practices in all questions.

Gyurcsány said on his Facebook wall that the activism the party members presented through their votes proved that people want change in the party structure.
