Most Hungarians agree that there is a place for state ownership in the country's most important areas of industry, but most also think privately-owned companies are more efficient, a survey by consultancy Ernst & Young shows.
The survey shows 69% of Hungarians agree that state ownership of companies in important sectors is appropriate. It also shows 69% believe privately-owned companies are more efficient, but just 35% think their work is of higher quality.
About 92% of Hungarians think state-owned companies are too dependent on politics. (MTI – Econews)
