Economy Ministry published a public procurement tender for the construction of the motorway M6 segment between Szekszárd and Bóly and the highway M60 segment between Bóly and Pécs.
The tender invitation was published in the database of TED (tenders electronic daily). The winner will have to undertake the planning, construction, maintenance and operation of the two segments, as well as to finance the operation.
The deadline for signing up for participation in the tender procedure is 21 May. The government plans to carry out the investment in PPP construction and offers to pay the winner consortium a stand-by fee for a period of 30 years.
Both sections, a 50 kilometer and a 30.2 kilometer long one, are to enter traffic in Q1 2010. Those companies who made loss in 2005 or 2006 are excluded from the competition. The equity capital of the bidding company or consortium has to be over €500 million, as the necessary investment of the project is estimated at €100 million. (Napi Gazdaság)
