The board of the State Privatization and Holding Company (ÁPV), at a meeting yesterday, declared a tender for a 75-year license to operate the Csepel Dockyards in the south of Budapest invalid, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. ÁPV said seven companies purchased the tender documentation, including foreign and domestic professional investors, but just two bids were made. Neither of the tenders, submitted by Germany's Rhenus along with its Hungarian unit, and the other by a consortium of Erdert, Erdert's property development unit and Multicont, fulfilled the necessary criteria.
