Hungary's international reserves increased €292 million in November after a €146 million fall in October, preliminary figures released by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) on Thursday show.
Hungary's international reserves rose just €309 million in September despite the inflow of the proceeds from a €500 million bond issue. The international reserves stood at €16.679 billion at the end of last month, up €957 million from the end of 2005 and up €2.503 billion from twelve months earlier.
In dollar terms, international reserves stood at $22.020 billion at the end of November, up $1.223 billion in a month and up $3.416 billion from the end of 2005, preliminary figures show. In dollar terms, the Hungarian central bank's international reserves rose $5.318 billion in the twelve months to the end of November 2006. (Mti-Eco)
