Bilateral operation in the field of energy between Hungary and Ukraine should be placed on new foundations, with new participants involved and should be significantly expanded, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in Kiev.
Orbán spoke to journalists following his meeting with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov. He also met President Viktor Yanukovych of Ukraine during his visit, Prime Ministerial Spokesman Peter Szijjártó told MTI.
Prime Minister Orbán and President Yanukovych stressed the importance of bilateral economic relations between Hungary and Ukraine following their meeting, agreeing to instruct their respective foreign ministries to formulate a joint action plan to be implemented during Hungary's European Union Presidency beginning on January 1.
