Hungary actively supports the European Union accession of Croatia and is interested in a clear perspective on Serbia's joining the EU, Prime Minister Gordon Bajnai told a meeting of Hungarian ambassadors and consuls in Budapest.
Hungary's task is to represent national values within the EU as efficiently as possible, Bajnai said. Hungary must be a reliable partner, but it can also form its own opinions, he added.
Speaking about relations between Hungarian and Russia, Bajnai said the two countries are tied together by energy and economic policy interests.
He called it a diplomatic success that China had become a first-rate strategic partner in the region. (MTI – Econews)
