A meeting of the Hungarian-Indonesian Economic Cooperation Intergovernment Mixed Committee took place in Budapest on Wednesday, the National Economy Ministry said.
State secretary for foreign trade and investment Zsolt Becsey said the Indonesians at the talks placed stress on tourism investments, while the Hungarian put imports of Hungarian technology at the forefront. Important partnerships between Hungarian and Indonesian companies are about to be formed in the conventional as well as renewable energy industries, he added.
Much progress has been made in the area of educational cooperation, he said, adding that a Hungarian university would soon sign an agreement with an Indonesian partner.
Hungary will review a request by Indonesia to renew a $10 million bilateral aid program, Becsey said.
