Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Fidesz prominent Lajos Kósa had an explosive argument over an element of the reform plans, expected to be announced later today, online news portal Origo reported.
The debate touched upon the issue of municipality reforms. According to reform plans, tasks not strongly linked to the local governance such as school operation would be taken away from local municipalities, the portal said.
Kósa, who is also the mayor of Debrecen, said that redirecting local schools under huge ministries would lead to several problems while not cutting cost.
