The National Health Fund Administration (OÉP) asked drugmakers operating in the country to reduce prices on more than 100 government-subsidized medicines, daily Népszava reported, citing a government official.
The fund may cancel subsidies should companies fail to lower prices, OÉP department head Gábor Lengyel said. Lengyel said government support ends when a drug is 20% more expensive than the cheapest medicine with the same active ingredient.
