Ground-service strike to cause delays to Malév flights on Tuesday

Passengers traveling on flights operated by Hungarian airline Malév should expect delays on Tuesday as the result of a strike that the airline's ground service Malév Ground Handling launched on Monday evening, Malév Spokesman Ádám Hegedűs told MTI on Tuesday morning.

Hegedűs noted that Malév has not yet had to cancel any flights, adding that the airline's passengers should arrive to Budapest Ferihegy International Airport one hour earlier than usual on Tuesday.

The union representing Malév Ground Handling workers launched an open-ended strike at 8 p.m. on Monday after failing to come to an agreement in wage talks with the company. (MTI-Econews)
