Gov't reaches agreement with smaller railway unions

The government on Monday reached an agreement with four small railway unions on plans to cut funding and restructure. The biggest railway union, VDSZSZ, did not sign the agreement.

The agreement was signed with the Railway Workers Union, the Engine Drivers Union, the Union of Railway Workers and the Engineers and Technicians Union.

Railway unions earlier organized strikes to protest plans to cut railway funding by HUF 40 billion and close railway lines, resulting in layoffs. (MTI-ECONEWS)
