A televised debate with economic representatives from Hungary's four parliamentary parties will take place on March 21 at the Budapest Stock Exchange (BÉT), the bourse announced on Thursday. Socialist finance minister János Veres, liberal SZDSZ economy minister János Kóka, opposition Fidesz's Mihály Varga and small conservative party MDF's Kálmán Katona will debate the likely effects of their policies on the market. The bourse said it wants to help the public to form an opinion on the most important issues affecting Hungary's economy and its capital markets ahead of the elections on April 9 and 23.
