Főkefe to dismiss no disabled workers, Ministry says

Főkefe Rehabilitációs Ipari Nonprofit Kft, a company that employs people with disabilities to make brushes and brooms, will not dismiss any disabled workers in spite of the cut in government funding, the press department of the National Resources Ministry told MTI.

The ministry said in the statement that this year's budget includes the HUF 24.5 billion coverage for the cost compensation related to employment of disabled workers. The staff cuts carried out at the company have only concerned administrative employees, they added.

Econews earlier reported that the trade unions at Főkefe were to submit a petition to the ministry over a HUF 1.3 billion cut in government funding.
