Fidesz candidate Imréné Dombi had a huge majority in midterm parliamentary and municipality elections in Püspökladány that were held on Sunday, due to the recent death of former Mayor and MP Sándor Arnóth, online news portal Index reported.
On the municipality election Dombi won with 42% followed by independent candidate Lajos Tóth with 23.8% and green-liberal LMP’s József Kocsány on the third place. However, while Dombi has won the tile of Mayor of Püspökladány in the municipality elections, the parliamentary election has to be rerun, due to the low turnout of voters.
