EU Regions Committee elects Hungarian vice-president

István Serto-Radics, mayor of the northeast Hungarian village of Uszka, has been elected vice-president of the European Union Committee of the Regions (CoR), the committee announced in a statement sent to MTI in Brussels on Friday. The liberal politician was also re-elected as leader of the Hungarian CoR delegation, which is composed of 12 full and 12 alternate members. Holding the first session of its four-year mandate on February 15-16, CoR elected Michel Delebarre, mayor of Dunkirk, as its president.
