The prime minister continues to have confidence in the areas of economic policy, the flat-rate tax system, the budget and the New Széchenyi Plan, National Economy Minister György Matolcsy told MTI when asked whether he still enjoyed the prime minister's confidence.
Daily Magyar Nemzet said on Monday that Matolcsy would soon be sacked over differences with government officials.
Matolcsy complained of a series of systematic attacks in the press and politics. Many do not like it that economic policy is successful, that there is the bank levy, and many do not think there is life without the IMF, he added. (MTI – Econews)
