Brussels approves regrouping of funds

The European Commission on Thursday approved the regrouping of funding between the operative programs of the New Hungary Development Plan, thus increasing funding for the Economic Development Operative Program by HUF 111 billion (€415.8 million), National Development and Economy Ministry State Secretary László Varju said on Thursday.

The government originally submitted the proposal to regroup the funds last December.

Varju said that job preservation was the most important aspect of the funding, which is why the Economic Development Operative Program received HUF 111 billion of the HUF 260 billion that was regrouped between the New Hungary Development Plan operative programs. (MTI-ECONEWS)
