Bids for Malév welcome by November 3

The State Privatization and Holding (ÁPV) Zrt expects bids for debt-ridden national airline Malév Zrt by November 3.

The company is to be fully assessed by the end of the week, national newswire MTI reported. This is the fourth attempt of the state to privatise Malév.
The main difference from the previous tender ÁPV called off is that the airline has “burnt" a big pile of money since then. A key element in the sell-off is that 50% plus 1 vote would remain Hungarian-owned, otherwise it would lose its national characteristic. (portfolio.hu)
